The Magic Of Lemon Drink

w500h500_14637-why-you-should-be-drinking-lemon-water-in-the-morningIf you have been reading our posts, there is usually emphasis on taking plenty of water instead of the regular “fruit juice” or other drinks which are sugar-packed.

But the obvious fact is that after taking water, especially a lot for a long time, some people don’t really like the bland taste.

Water is good but what if I told you what to do so that the taste will be just cool and refreshing, and without adding extra calories to your system.
It’s tempting to grab your favourite canned juice, beverage or sports drink when looking for something to quench your thirst, keep in mind that these beverages — and countless others — can have lots of added sugar and calories.

A flavourful alternative is drinking lemon water, which has zero calories and provides several key health benefits.
Lemon Water’s Benefits
Many weight loss resources cite the benefits of lemon water and its citric acid in fat burning. You’ll still need to avoid the kind of foods that make you fat, get some good exercise and ideally change your meal frequency to one that improves weight loss potential – but lemon water is certainly a beneficial addition to any body fat reduction plan. Why Are Fulani People Trimmer Than Other Tribes?

fulaHave you noticed that some tribes in Nigeria or even certain people or group of people from around the world NEVER get fat? They can never get obese or overweight! Examples, in Nigeria here are the Fulanis, some part of the north. And if you are observant you will also notice that you rarely find overweight or obese people in most of our CORE villages where the village culture of natural eating has not been contaminated by influx of refined foods from foreign land brought in for the parents by their rich township dwellers!
The problem with the notion of dieting is that it does not address the lifestyle changes that need to be made in order to permanently take the weight off. Losing weight is not something that can be bought or sold. It is not a commodity. Sometimes the problem is cultural. We become trapped in old habits that have us eating unhealthy foods for a lifetime.

We were all scared of taking sweet things, especially real sugar in our drinks and some foods like custard, pap, oats etc. There was always this silent fear or even guilt when you are eating anything that is very sweet because in subconsciously you believe that you are deliberately causing some unknown problems to yourself.

Certainly intake of excessive sugar is not healthy just like excessive intake of any other foods, but its consumption is not the cause of diabetes.
I know that some of us would be surprised by this assertion. Yes. “Eating too much sugar” does not cause diabetes. I can almost hear you asking:

What Then Is The cause? Continue reading ““Eating Sugar” Does Not cause Diabetes”

Beware Of Chlamydia

romI’m aware that many of us have never heard of this sexually transmitted disease.

We are all familiar with HIV/AIDS, Gonorrhea, Syphilis, and others but not many know about Chlamydia.

What on earth is Chlamydia again?

Chlamydia is a common sexually transmitted disease (STD) that can be easily cured. If left untreated, chlamydia can make it difficult for a woman to get pregnant.

Chlamydia is a common STD that can infect both men and women. It can cause serious, permanent damage to a woman’s reproductive system, making it difficult or impossible for her to get pregnant later on.
